Emma is still a happy, fun, loving little baby. She is really starting to develop her own personality. It is so much fun watching her grow into a little toddler.
At 14 months, Emma:
- uses a few words regularly:
- mama
- dada
- hi
- bye
- brudder (brother)
- took her first steps without any help on 11/11/2012. I am sure she will be walking in no time.
- responds to instructions. My favorite is when she gives loves (hugs and kisses).
- cannot get enough of music...this girl loves to dance and sing along to any kind of music.
- makes a b-line for any electronic device left unattended (remote control, cell phone, iPad).
- brushes her hair if you hand her a baby brush.
- went down the big slide at the park for the first time on 11/15/12 and loved it!
- takes two naps a day. a morning nap around 9am and an afternoon nap around 1:30pm.
- goes to bed at 6pm. we pushed her bedtime back from 7pm to 6pm, because she was starting to wake up in the middle of the night (multiple times). No fun for mommy!
- loves, loves, to read books. she will sit for hours "reading" her books to herself or pretty much anyone that will listen.
- is still completely infatuated with Tangled. she can not get enough of Rapunzel.
- still eats like she has a hallow leg.
- goes up and down the staircase a million times in one day. it is exhausting.
- plays well with Cayden for long lengths of time now.
- can stare you down with her frow brow. it's amazing how one little look from a baby can scare you.
- has shown that she has quite a temper when things are not going her way. she got extremely upset one day at dada and she threw her head forward and whacked it on the tile. she had a big bruise on her forehead for a week.
- enjoys pulling out all of her bowls, plates, spoons and hiding them all around the downstairs.
- likes to snuggle on your lap with her lovies and paci before she goes to bed at night. I just love the little hugs she gives me.
