Then I made a "One to grow on" banner of photos for Emma's first year.
The theme was a garden party. We kept the party close with family. Emma really doesn't have any "little friends" yet.
In the foyer we had a framed photo with a mat for our family to sign.
I made veggie cups with ranch at the bottom..they were delicious!
We had sandwiches, macaroni and potato salad. The sandwiches were in galvanized trays with moss to stick with the garden theme.
The dessert table...
had strawberry shortcake skewers, strawberry rhubarb tarts and strawberry waffle crisps.
The "Big" birthday cake with a pennant banner that said, "Emma" that I made.
And an adorable smash cake for the birthday girl.
No party is complete without gifts from our wonderful guests.
And, here is our little birthday girl, just after waking up from her afternoon nap.
We were so glad to have all our family with us on Emma's special day! Both sets of grandparents, along with Aunt Brittany, Uncle Adam, Aunt Erin, Michael, Darlene, Erica and Diana, Chrissy, Freddy, Dylan and little baby Brandon were able to make it.
This was the only photo with brother in it. After this his cousin, Dylan, came and he was off in his room playing legos.
These two were so cute together...
We had lunch first...presents was next. There were so many gifts and photos. I will not bore y'all with the details.
Then it was onto the cake.
We sang "Happy Birthday" to the birthday girl...
She wasn't sure of what to make with the cake.
Daddy and Mommy made her wish...
And Emma tried her cake.
Then she really dug in...
and loved it :)
Lets just say she was a mess and needed a bath after this.
But, she did manage to share some with her grammy...
and we got a picture with our little bug.
After the birthday girl was all clean, Grandpa and Grandma got a picture with the girl of the hour.
And we even managed to get a photo of just us three.
At this point everyone was gone and little miss Emma wanted her bottle.
She was one tired one-year-old. All in all the party went very well and everyone had a great time.
Happy 1st Birthday Emma!
We love you so much...
Love,
Mommy, Daddy and brother
