13 months

At 13 months, Emma:

•  uses several words regularly:
• mama
• dada
• hi
• bye
• bruder (brother)
• nigh, nigh (night, night)
• what
• yeah
• will walk holding fingers!
• brushes her hair with a baby brush.
• grabs the remote and holds it towards the television.
• she likes to get up on people's laps to read books (will hand you a book). 
• has stood up without the help of furniture for numerous minutes. 
• has taken a couple of steps from the couch to the coffee table. 
• loves to climb on things. her favorite is the stairs, but has yet to master how to get back down safely. 
• still eats like she has a hollow leg. 
• dances to any kind of music (toys, radio, t.v.)
• is a mama's girl all though she will scream if daddy leaves.
• definitely has her own mind. she will throw a fit if something is not going her way. she is not afraid to let you know it. 
• stands up in her highchair. which gives mommy a heart attack!
• responds to instructions. My favorite is when she gives hugs and kisses. 
• plays for hours with Cayden. they are so cute together. 
• enjoys emptying out all of my cabinets. she loves the plastic containers. 
• loves to play with the iphone. she has learned how to turn on the music and use the camera. 
• is still having trouble sleeping at night. wakes about 2-3 times a night. we are trying the scream-it-out approach. it isn't working too well. she still takes 2 naps a day one in the morning around 9am and an afternoon nap around 1230p.
• claps for herself whenever she accomplishes something (throwing her sippy cup on the floor). 
• loves to give hugs and pats her little hands on your back. it is so sweet. 
• does downward dog (yoga pose) when asked. 
• she loves to snuggle with her lovies, binki and book. she is the sweetest girl.
