17 months

At 17 months, Emma:

• is about 23 lbs.
• loves to eat sweets. she tried Tiramisu for the first time, M&M's, sugar cookies and a cheesecake. february is definitely the month of sweets. 
• points the remote control at the television to make something happen. sometimes it works. 
• enjoys down time by watching "Sofia the First" and "Doc McStuffins". 
• has a new obsession with Sofia the First. she will constantly point to the DVR to turn it on. 
• is teething - her molars and canines are coming in. poor baby. 
• found my baby doll from when I was little and carries it everywhere with her. she feeds the baby, gives the baby a bottle and hugs the baby. it is too cute!
• learned how to unlock my iphone. she has disabled my phone for more than 60 minutes. 
• can now open doors and turn on and off the light switches. 
• loves to sit on the stairs or her wooden stool to watch her shows. grandpa was nice enough to bring down a little chair for her to sit on. she loves it!
• covers her face in the bath tub when you pour water on her head. 
• helps brush her teeth at night time. 
• tries so hard to put on her shirt and pants by herself.
• tells me no constantly when she is trying to do something. 
• will try to unbuckle her carseat, stroller and high chair straps when she wants out. 
• learned to sign "please"
• sings and says "all done" when she is finished eating. 
• says, "oh no" when she drops something or falls. 
• plays swords with Cayden. she is getting pretty good. 
• still naps twice a day. some days once in the afternoon. 
• is so picky about what she eats. she will not eat anything she didn't pick out. 
• constantly goes to the refrigerator, pantry or snack drawer to get food out. 
• has meltdowns when she does not get what she wants. will throw her head back and cry. 
• ignores me when I tell her not to do something and will look right at me and do it. so frustrating.  
• yells her brother's name constantly. when you ask where is Cayden she will run around the house saying "Cayden, Cayden" its the cutest. 
• loves to pull out all her books and toys. 
• has added so many words to her vocabulary. I will post a list on her 18 month post.
