19 months

At 19 months, Emma:

• has all of her teeth. yay! no more teething. 
• loves to spin around in circles 
• learned to go down the stairs all by herself. she goes down backwards and is so proud of herself.
• is now climbing up on everything. desk, couch, chairs, beds. you name it this monkey is all over it. 
• has been having trouble staying asleep at nigh time. she goes down fine at 8'clock and then will wake up anywhere between 10-11pm and wants to snuggle with mommy and daddy. 
• still takes two good naps a day. 
• loves to help mommy empty the dishwasher. she is such a good helper. 
• tries so hard to put on everyone's shoes. she loves to walk around in them. 
• is fascinated with brother's new fish. has tried a couple of times to take them out of the tank. we now keep brother's door shut. 
• knows how to open all the doors that open towards her. she will do this constantly. 
• has started throwing toys, chapsticks, blankets, dolls you name it down the stairs from the loft. definitely not my favorite thing. 
• you say and sign please all the time now when you want something. it is so cute. we don't even have to remind you to do it. 
• the words keep coming by the mouthful. i am not too concerned with your language skills :) 
• you love to cuddle Cayden after he has been gone at school all day. you will run to is room throughout the day looking for brother. it is so sweet. 
• constantly lifts her shirt up to show us her belly. i hope this is not a sign of what she will be like in the future. 
• has learned more animal sounds and says them whenever she sees that particular animal. 
• walks on her tiptoes. not all the time, but when she does its adorable. 
• still is very independent and lets us know when she is unhappy. 
• has a major love affair with food and all things sweet. totally different from her brother who can do without the sweets. 
• will play in the backyard with Cayden after school. the two of them just hang out, roll in the grass, ride scooters. its so sweet to see them play together. they truly do love each other. 
• is officially on the downhill slide to being two. it makes me sad every time i think about it.
