At 22 months, Emma:

  • has such character. she keeps us on our toes. we are constantly laughing at all her little expressions.
  • has major meltdowns when things do not go her way. especially if we take away the iphone or ipad. the screaming is unbearable at times.
  • learns a new word or mimics a sound everyday. its so much fun to see her vocabulary growing.
  • comes walking in to our room in the morning (brother gets her out of the crib) and ask to get up and watch her morning television. of course that can only mean Sofia or as she says, "fia".
  • has mastered walking up the stairs with one hand instead of crawling up them. she also helps to count the steps. its so cute to hear her go, "one, two, five". we are still practicing counting.
  • is very much a routine kind of kid. so is cayden. both my kids do not do well when things are outside the norm. she loves her nightly routine of bath, books (reading the same one over and over) and snuggles.
  • has long enough hair to wear in a ponytail.
  • recently got a new princess potty. she loves to sit on the potty and push the handle on the side that makes music. she has peed 3 times in the potty. we are so proud of you!
  • loves to race her brother around the kitchen and living room with her stroller. its so much fun to see the two of them have fun together.
  • has learned new body parts: head, arms, legs, hands and toes. she can now point to everybody part and name them.
  • still loves to play with her baby dolls and toy doll house.
  • tried her first s'more and loved it. of course she did. she loves sweets just like her mommy.
  • can throw a ball pretty darn far. she has really mastered the art of throwing over her head.
  • constantly says "mommy, daddy and cayden" all.day.long. we are trying to get her to say emma.
  • gave us a little scare on 6/30/13. she ingested some of my prescription medicine. she was rushed to the hospital and admitted to Cardon's children's hospital in the ICU. the first 24 hours were the worst hours of my life. luckily, it was not life threatening and she was ok. we were so very blessed.
  • still is my little baby at times and not the toddler she has grown into. she still loves to cuddle and gives the best hugs!
