Watching: right now Cayden's new favorite thing to watch is Transformers. Every morning he gets his breakfast and sits with his iPad to watch an episode or two before school starts. He really only gets screen time in the mornings during the school week. It's too much with homework and activities in the evenings to let him watch more television. He doesn't need it.
Loving: playing outside after school and on the weekends with the neighborhood kids. They play for hours, riding bikes, scooters, playing tag, digging in dirt with rocks. A whole lot of boy stuff and totally getting dirty in the process. I have to make him shower right after he comes inside from playing, because he is definitely starting to smell like a boy.
Reading: for awhile he was really into reading the Magic Tree House series. He is slowly moving towards longer chapter books. We took a trip to Barnes and Noble on our mommy and Cayden date night to pick out a new book series to read. He chose the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book. So, far he is loving it.
Going: just the other night at dinner Paul and I told the kids that we are taking them to Disneyland in March. They both were so excited. Cayden had the biggest grin from ear to ear. Both of them have been talking non-stop about going to Disneyland and watching videos of the rides on Youtube.
Learning: today I got a letter from Cayden's teacher stating that he has passed all of the addition and subtraction time tables. We are so proud of this little man. They are now starting to learn and practice multiplication time tables for third grade! Its still hard for me to think that my little boy will be in third grade soon. Time flies by so fast.
